Dave Ayriss, B.Sc., CIH, CRSP,
Associate/Senior Occupational Hygienist

Presented At:
Welding Fumes in the Workplace - Jan 26th 2018

This presentation will describe common welding and thermal cutting processes, the exposure hazards unique to those processes, including those specific to hexavalent chromium and manganese, and the various control options available to protect employees, such as elimination (eg: changing the welding type),  substitution (eg: changing the welding rod), engineering (eg: local exhaust ventilation), administration (eg: reducing exposure time, medicals, and training),
and the use of PPE (eg: respirators).
