阴APP导航 and Qualification

The 阴APP导航 certifies companies, inspection organizations, inspectors, and welding consumables through a review and qualification process to ensure that they meet the requirements for a variety of product and safety codes as well as standards such as CSA W47.1, CSA W47.2, CSA W55.3, CSA W186, CSA W178.1, CSA W178.2 and CSA W48.

In order to achieve and maintain certification, companies engaged in welding are required to have their personnel qualified for engineering, supervisory and welding and follow approved welding procedures.

For engineers involved in the certification process the CWB has created a resource page with information regarding the standards and to assist you in the qualification of welding procedures.

Similar to the welding companies, welding inspection organizations are required to have their personnel qualified for supervisory and certified for inspection, whether it鈥檚 visual, destructive or non-destructive testing.

Individuals looking to achieve certification as visual welding inspector or an NDT certification are required to meet standard鈥檚 experience requirements and successfully complete written and practical exams.

In Canada, a number of CSA product standards require welding fabricators to use welding consumables certified in accordance to CSA W48. CSA W48 provides requirements for the classification and certification of welding consumables by themselves or in conjunction with gas mixtures or fluxes as applicable.

Stud manufacturers are also required to qualify their stud base in accordance with CSA Standard W59 or other governing standard.

As the Authorized National Body (ANB) for the International Institute of Welding (IIW), the 阴APP导航 provides several levels of internationally recognized certifications and qualifications for welding professionals along with certification for welding companies.

阴APP导航 and Qualification Services

CSA Standard W59 outlines that fabricators performing stud welding are required to use only qualified studs through a CWB qualification program. Studs that are shop or field applied must be qualified by the manufacturer through CWB to the extent of one of the following codes: CSA W59, AWS D1.1, AWS D1.5 or AWS D1.6. Qualification of studs will ensure that the stud manufacturer has successfully met the tests and the quality system requirements as specified in the applicable standard.
