CSA W47.1 contains requirements for companies seeking certification for the fusion welding of steel. It contains guidance on the qualification of welding engineers and welding supervisors, welder performance testing, and requirements for the development and qualification of welding procedures.

This Standard specifies requirements for certification of companies engaged in fusion welding of aluminum performed as part of the fabrication or erection of aluminum structures.

Filler metals standards are intended to provide a generic method of classification and evaluation that allows the end user to select appropriate welding consumables for a given welding process and product or application.

This Code covers the requirements for equipment, preparation and methods of weld process control, inspection and testing, used in resistance welding of components or assemblies which form part of a structure which is designed to carry calculated loads including open web joists, open web rigid frame members, roof and floor decking, etc.

Welded Steel Construction (Metal Arc Welding) W59 contains requirements for welded steel (carbon and low-alloy) construction. It contains guidance on design of welded connections, electrodes & consumables, base metals, workmanship, inspection, quality levels, and stud welding.

This Standard specifies the requirements for all types of welded aluminum construction, and is of general application. There are, however, special Standards which may be used for particular products, such as, pressure vessels and pipelines.
