CWB APP offering remote service options amid COVID-19 concerns

APP leads the way in providing auditing services both on-site and remotely to allow organizations to sustain their business needs during this challenging time

Milton, ON- The CWB APP team will remain available and willing to support businesses should they require on-site auditing and testing services. Additionally, the certification team has worked tirelessly to offer a number of services remotely via video conferencing to ensure that you sustain your business needs as you work through these trying times. The services being provided through virtual conferencing are:

  • RemoteVerbal examinations for Welding Supervisors
  • RemoteWelder qualification testing

Our remote service delivery model is for clients who have implemented visitor restriction due to COVID-19 or to those who would find remote delivery of services more convenient in this unique business environment.

We continue to recognize that some provinces have implemented restrictions that require “non-essential workplaces” to cease operations temporarily, rest assured, we will work within these limitations and guidelines to ensure the safe delivery of our services. If your product offering is deemed essential, the APP’s resources will continue to provide support to the Canadian marketplace.

The APP certifies companies, inspection organizations, inspectors, and welding consumables through a review and qualification process to ensure that they meet the requirements for a variety of product and safety codes as well as standards such asCSA W47.1,CSA W47.2,CSA W55.3,CSA W186,CSA W178.1,CSA W178.2andCSA W48. In order to achieve and maintain certification, companies engaged in welding are required to have their personnel qualified for engineering, supervisory and welding and follow approved welding procedures. Similar to the welding companies, welding inspection organizations are required to have their personnel qualified for supervisory and certified for inspection, whether it’s visual, destructive or non-destructive testing.
