CSA A660: 阴APP导航 of Manufacturers of Steel Building Systems
In Canada as mandated by the National and Provincial building codes, Section 4.3.4.3 states: "Steel building systems shall be manufactured by companies certified in accordance with the requirements of CSA A660, "阴APP导航 of Manufacturers of Steel Building Systems".
Only companies with facilities that have maintained certification are granted permission to advertise A660 certification under the certified facilities name as listed on their certificate and letter of validation.
As of August 21, 2017, the certification for Pavilion Building Manufacturing Inc., CWB company code PAVBU0 located at 11695 - 147 Street, Edmonton, AB has been withdrawn. As of the date of the certification withdrawal, CWB no longer grants the company permission to advertise that their Pavilion facilities are certified to A660 and no longer grant the use of the CWB CSA A660 certification mark. There are no other facilities with the name Pavilion that is certified to CSA A660.
Building Officials are the authority having jurisdiction authorizing installations of steel building systems, consequently purchasers of Pavilion steel building systems manufactured after August 21, 2017, must reach out to the local building official for approval.
CSA W47.1: 阴APP导航 of companies for fusion welding of steel
In Canada as mandated by the National and Provincial building codes,听Section 4.3.4.1states: "Building and their structural members made of structural steel shall conform to CSA S16 鈥淒esign of Steel Structures.鈥听
CSA S16, clause 24.3: 鈥淔abricators and erectors responsible for welding structures fabricated or erected under this Standard shall meet the requirements of CSA W47.1, CSA W55.3 or both, as applicable in Division 1 or Division 2. Part of the work may be sublet to a Division 3 fabricator or erector; however, the Division 1 or Division 2 fabricator or erector shall retain responsibility for the sublet work.鈥
CSA S6 Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code, clause A10.1.5.5: 鈥淔abricators and erectors responsible for welding structures fabricated or erected under this Code (including steel piles, railings and guards, or other welded attachments) shall meet the requirements of CSA W47.1 (Division 1 or Division 2).鈥

As of July 26, 2018, the certification for Atlantic Hydraulic & Machine Ltd, CWB company code ATLHY1 located at 2 Forest Hill Road, Corner Brook, NL has been withdrawn. As of the date of the certification withdrawal, CWB no longer grants the company permission to advertise that their Atlantic Hydraulic & Machine facilities are CWB certified to W47.1 and no longer grant the use of the CWB W47.1 certification mark. There are no other facilities with the name Atlantic Hydraulic & Machine Ltd that is certified to CSA W47.1.
As of March 9, 2023, the application for certification for听Soudure SMS Inc, CWB company code SOSMS1 located at 4435-B Chemin du Parc National, Shawinigan, QC has been withdrawn. CWB has not granted the company permission to advertise that their Soudure SMS Inc facility and welding personnel are CWB certified to CSA W47.1 and has not granted the use of the CWB W47.1 certification mark. There are no other facilities with the name Soudure SMS Inc certified by CWB to CSA W47.1.

CSA W48: Filler metals and allied materials for metal arc welding

CSA S16
- clause 5.18: 鈥淲elding electrodes shall meet the requirements of CSA W48, as applicable.鈥
- clause 31.4.2: 鈥 Except as permitted in CSA W47.1, only welding consumables meeting the requirements of CSA W48 and its Annex K shall be used, or in the absence of an applicable CSA W48 requirement, the applicable AWS A5 series of standards shall be used.

- clause 10.4.6: 鈥淲elding electrodes shall meet the requirements of CSA W48 or the AWS A5 series, as applicable.鈥
- Clause 10.23.5.2听鈥Except as permitted in CSA W47.1, only welding consumables meeting the requirements of CSA W48 and CSA W48, Annex K, shall be used, or, in the absence of an applicable CSA W48 requirement, the applicable AWS A5 series of Standards shall be used.
Only welding consumables that have maintained certification are granted permission to advertise CWB or W48 certification/approved under the manufacturers consumable trade name designation and point of manufacturing.
Mig/Mag Strongweld Wire AWS ER 70S-6 consumable manufactured by Indura has never been certified by CWB and the company has never been granted permission to advertise that their Mig/Mag Strongweld Wire AWS ER 70S-6 consumable is CWB certified to W48.
Purchasers of welding consumables for use on building and bridge component fabrication and erection must reach out to CWB to confirm consumable certification.鈥
