阴APP导航 hosts its 7th annual National Welding Educators Conference
April 20, 2018- The 阴APP导航 is pleased to announce its 7th annual National Welding Educators Conference at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology from April 24-26, 2018. This year鈥檚 theme is Mentorship 鈥 Creative Solutions to Engage Your Students and has successfully attracted speakers from all over Canada to discuss how educators can create a mentally stimulating environment for their students. Topics will range from weld rubric harmonization, regulations, research, and welding technology/engineering to allow attendees to gain a wide breadth of knowledge from industry experts. Furthermore, we are fortunate enough to have Honourable Marlin Schmidt (NDP), Minister of Advanced Education in Alberta give a morning address to all attendees.
鈥淭his is a wonderful opportunity for educators to network with counterparts from over the country, learn best practices and develop project ideas for the classroom,鈥 said Dan Tadic, Executive Director of the CWB Association. 鈥淭he CWB Association and CWB Foundation are leading the way in harmonizing welding education all across Canada through various events by giving you the opportunity to speak to peers and gain knowledge on how to better serve the welding community.鈥
鈥淎n Indigenous Roundtable discussion will take place with representatives from education, industry, and government to discuss Mind over Metal Indigenous Camps and how the CWB Welding Foundation can ensure culturally appropriate, impactful and meaningful experiences geared towards at-risk youth,鈥 said Deborah Mates, Executive Director of the CWB Welding Foundation. You will hear from representatives that have first-hand experiences working in culturally sensitive programs and the positive effects that welding education has had within these programs.
