CWB ÒõAPPµ¼º½ introduces the Sole Proprietor service model starting February 1, 2021
Media Release
The organization is catering to one-person welding operations to evolve its delivery model to serve client needs
Milton, ON- CWB ÒõAPPµ¼º½ is pleased to announce the inception of its pilot project called the Sole Proprietor service model. This project will support one-person welding shops and small organizations in gaining access to certification quickly with reduced application fees. Payments will be made through monthly installments to eliminate cost-related barriers for potential clients.
Our certification model currently serves all companies regardless of the size and number of welders involved. However, we want to equip sole proprietors with the same business knowledge to implement a quality program while remaining within their budget.Ìý We want to let the industry know that the certification process is not too complex, challenging, or costly to complete; plus, the benefits to their businesses are enormous.
Welding shops that sign on to the sole proprietor model will enjoy a full CWB ÒõAPPµ¼º½ support system, including a Designated Contact Centre team member along with support from a ÒõAPPµ¼º½ Services Representative. These resources will provide:
a)ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý access to expertise to ensure a high level of confidence of the applicant organization.
b)ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý assurance that all required documentation is completed with assistance if needed.
c)ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý confirmation that requirements and next steps are relayed clearly to the applicant organization.
Designed with the same stringent welding standards in mind, users of the program will have to meet the relevant certification standard's required criteria. The initiative upholds the same quality and compliance requirements that you have to come to expect from CWB ÒõAPPµ¼º½ and is applicable to new clients only. Existing one-person welding operations will not be affected by this change.
